Music CD, I'm just not that into you. →
Perhaps the biggest reason that CD sales has nothing to do with piracy, the interwebs, or iPods. Maybe people have more entertainment options, and choose to spend their money elsewhere.

Man arrested, cuffed after using $2 bills. →
My favorite part of this article occurs at the very bottom - the reason for all of this nonsense is ascribed to the “post 9-11 world” we live in. That’s the same argument that Coke is probably trying to use to raise the price of bottles at vending machines. I’m really tired of indiscriminate appropriation of 9-11 themes for things that have nothing at all to do with it.

On using cats for energy.
Jason suggests using cats as biofuel. We can use this tool to calculate how much ethanol one would yield. Anyone know how much C6 is in a cat?

The Hold Steady
Oh, saw The Hold Steady tonight. They are what rock and roll should be - raw, ugly, unpolished, and completely fun. It’s rare to see a band smiling all the way through their set. These guys were as into what was going on as the dancing people in the front row. Very cool. I don’t even really like their music, but it was a great show.

overhear.us allows employees to anonymously talk... →
I suppose this is either destructive or good for HR. People with email addresses at the same domain name can log in and participate anonymously in discussions about work. Talking about issues with the boss or open projects or whatever. It’s the transparency of web 2.0 meets the office watercooler.
